She peeked out at Jack from under her arms. She whimpered and slowly uncurled, pushing herself up and then falling into his arms. Her skin felt like liquid fire.

Salina refused to come out. She didn't want to. She burried her face in her arms, her eyes stinging because of the sun. Salina felt weak and her blood felt like it was boiling.

She heard her name being called. Salina edged away from the voice, frightened. She pushed herself up to her feet and walked further into the alley. She sat back down and curled up in a cardboard box that was big enough to shelter her from the sun.

Salina crouched down away from the sunlight. She sat in an alley, holding herself. She was confused and felt so much pain. Her eyes closed and she began to fall asleep.

"Jack let me give you a gift before the sun comes. " The girl gave him a necklace. "This will help you remember what happens." She backed off and dissapeared into the shadows.

The girl looked at Jack. "I may be a demon now Jack..but that doesn't mean that I wasn't a human before. The same has happened to me Jack." She said.

The demon girl glanced to Jack. "Your going to let her do this? Your own friend?! Look at you...your protecting a monster now Jack. She isn't your friend anymore..she's a monster. You should be trying to cure your friend of this demonic blood that flows through her veins. If you don't...she will die. Is that what you want Jack?" She offered him a hand. "Come with me Jack and I will help you get your real friend back..."

Salina glared. "No Jack don't believe her! I am me. I'm me honest. Jack don't believe her." She said.

The demon laughed. "You hear that Jack? She is resorting to begging because the demon inside her doesn't want to leave. Do not believe her Jack. She is no longer your friend. As far as I'm concerned your friend is dead as long as she is tainted by the demonic blood."

"You bitch!" Salina snapped angrily. She attempted to attack the demon girl but was thrown back with ease. She realizes she isn't that strong yet and runs out of the church, fleeing.
